In early June, Education Partnership North East (EPNE) attended the Quality Professional Awards, where they were nominated for the Quality Team of the Year award.
From over 500 nominees, 76 finalists represented organisations across the UK including FE colleges, independent training providers, local authorities and universities, and the ceremony saw EPNE take home the title of Winner for their nominated category.
The award honours the outstanding contributions made by quality improvement practitioners and leaders in further education and employability. These are the people who play a critical role working alongside delivery teams to pave the way for a bright future for learners and job seekers.
In an era where both sectors continue to define and support personal and societal success, the pursuit of quality improvement has never been more important. These awards celebrate the individuals and teams whose unwavering commitment to quality and compliance has made a significant impact towards achieving their organisation’s ambitions.
The aim in creating the awards was to elevate the status of quality assurance and compliance as a rewarding career path and demonstrate the professionalism of the many people in these roles who make a difference to our sectors.
Jo Cooper, Associate Prinicipal for Teaching Learning & Quality at Education Partnership North East said: “I am very proud that the team has been recognised by the Quality Professional Awards for our contributions to Quality.
“This is testament to the team’s relentless pursuit of outstanding student experience within a multi-campus College group and reflects the hard work and commitment they bring every day.”
This specific award recognises quality assurance/ improvement teams who have delivered impactful and measurable improvements in quality. This category celebrates teamwork, creativity, and a commitment to enhancing outcomes for learners, job seekers, staff, or institutional performance.
The judges added: “The team plays a critical role in driving a relentless culture of continuous improvement, underpinned by strong collaborative partnerships with peers across the group. The outcome of this is impressive.
“What stands out is that, first and foremost, they are self-reflective of their own practices.”
