Education Partnership North East are one of the largest providers of apprenticeship training to care providers in the North East and we specialise in delivering care leadership apprenticeships. We believe that supporting apprenticeships is not just workforce development – it is a strategic investment in the future of adult social care.
In an ever-evolving adult social care sector, strong, confident leadership is essential to delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality services. The CQC expects that registered managers will hold relevant qualifications or be working towards them and can demonstrate they have the skills and knowledge to lead and manage care services.
Encouraging staff to undertake the Leader in Adult Care and Lead Practitioner in Adult Care apprenticeships is a powerful cost-effective way for providers to invest in their workforce while strengthening organisational performance.
Because the qualifications are delivered as an apprenticeship, it means that Apprenticeship Levy Employers can be paid for out of your Levy pot and for non-Apprenticeship Levy paying organisations, they are heavily subsidised, with Government paying 95% of the training costs.
These nationally recognised apprenticeships equip existing staff with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to lead with confidence. From regulatory compliance and safeguarding to person-centred practice, team management, and service improvement, learners gain practical expertise they can apply immediately in their roles. This leads to greater consistency across services.
Maur Gray, Training and Development Manager at Orbis Support said: “Orbis Support are committed to ensuring that all staff have the skills and qualifications they need to be high achievers in their job roles.
“Leadership and management are particularly important to us as this is where we demonstrate the values and the culture of our organisation. We have been working with Education Partnership North East for almost 10 years, they deliver the training for our leadership and management apprenticeships.
“What I like about the Lead Practitioner in Adult Care and the Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeships is that they are specific to the adult care sector. This means our leaders and managers can relate directly to the content of the apprenticeships and apply the skills, knowledge and behaviours in they gain into their everyday practice. I can highly recommend these apprenticeships.”
