Students at Sunderland College, Northumberland College and Hartlepool Sixth Form are celebrating after discovering that they have gained the grades to achieve their future ambitions after collecting their A-Level, T Level and vocational results.
Hundreds of the colleges’ students received their results last Thursday 17 August, with many accepting offers from some of the country’s leading universities, progressing to higher level apprenticeships or starting a new career.
Overall results this year for Sunderland College, included a 96.5% achievement rate for students studying Level 3 vocational qualifications.
Sunderland College’s Sixth Form also achieved a high overall pass rate for A-Levels, with many subjects including English Language and Literature, Film, History, Politics and Sociology all receiving 100% with strong high grades.
At Northumberland College, there was an achieved overall 91.5% pass rate for Level 3 qualifications delivered at Ashington, Berwick and Kirkley Hall campuses, with courses including Equine Management achieving 100% pass rates.
Hartlepool Sixth Form achieved an overall high pass rate for A-Levels again, with many subjects receiving 100% pass rate with English Literature students performing extremely well.
Students taking vocational and technical qualifications continued the high performance from previous years, with a 93% achievement rate.
Those studying T Levels – the first cohort at Hartlepool Sixth Form College to complete the two-year qualifications courses – also impressed with 95% of students achieving their qualification and all with high grades.
Sunderland College, Northumberland College and Hartlepool Sixth Form are all now accepting applications from 2023 school leavers for their wide range of A-Level subjects, vocational and technical courses.
