Education Partnership North East’s curriculum and support staff have developed innovative online learning methods for students to continue their studies at home, be engaged and motivated in their learning and to provide ongoing support.
To support students and ensure they are continuing to perfect their skills and techniques, beauty therapy lecturer Leanne Grethe has created video tutorials and clear step-by-step guides which allows students to practicing at home.
The videos, which include hot stone massage, Indian head massage and facial electricals, are recorded at Leanne’s home and uploaded to a dedicated YouTube channel where she can monitor comments, discuss the videos with students and track views.
Students are taking part in weekly Zoom meetings to keep in touch and up to date, with fun virtual quizzes on anatomy and physiology engaging learners.
Issues uploading the videos to canvas due to the file sizes so Leanne created a YouTube channel and shared the links with learners.
