shortage of skills needs to be filled.

Well, this qualification provides you with a thorough understanding of all the aspects of a business administration role, which could enable you to progress within a business environment.

This qualification is ideal for anyone with an interest in the responsibilities and tasks involved in a business administration role. By exploring the principles of supporting events, project management and changes within a business environment, you will develop a competitive and impressive knowledge about this sector which can help you start a new career or progress within a current role.

Students wishing to undertake the certificate should be aged 18 or over. You will need to have at least a Level 1 qualification in literacy as you will be expected to write answers for assessment purposes.

The qualification aims to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of administration concepts and practices. It is designed to provide learners with the essential knowledge required to carry out every day and more complex administrative tasks.

You will be added to our Equal platform, where you will be able to access all the learning resources and assessments to complete. You will be allocated your own personal tutor who you can contact throughout your studies. You will be required to work through a series of tasks and activities designed to reinforce the learning process and demonstrate your knowledge. Your personal tutor will then assess your work and provide you with constructive feedback for each unit.
This course is available paper-based too on request.

You should be able to work at a Level 1 in Functional Skills.

This is a 16-week course that requires your own time management for study. You will be given submission dates to keep you focused on the 16-week timeframe.

- Unit 3: Understand communication in a business environment
- Unit 4: Understand employer organisations
- Unit 5: Understand how to develop working relationships with colleagues
- Unit 6: Understand how to carry out business administration tasks
- Unit 7: Understand how to prepare text
