A multi-million pound investment programme for Northumberland College was announced in June 2019, following the merger with Sunderland College and a new strategic vision for excellence.
Work commenced on phase 1 of the project in June 2019.
The investment programme will be transformational and will further position the college as one of the region's leading education and training providers. It will bring significant benefits to students, staff, employers and the local community.
The college will operate as normal and any disruption will be minimised.
The new facilities will provide an enhanced student experience and outstanding learning opportunities.
The needs of local employers helped to shape the improvements to our educational provision. The investment programme will address the region's skills gaps and ensure that students have access to industry-standard resources and high quality learning experiences to prepare them for future employment.
The new facilities will boos the local economy and improve the local communities in which the college operates.
Northumberland College merged with Sunderland College (including Hartlepool Sixth Form) in March 2019, which created Education Partnership North East. One of the largest college groups in the UK.
