Sunderland College will work alongside East Durham College, Middlesbrough College, Tyne Coast College and NA College Trust in a partnership led by New College Durham to deliver the Institute of Technology - one of 12 in the country.
The Institute will offer a natural progression route for young people and adults into higher level study and technical employment in areas such as manufacturing, construction and engineering.
We will work together with Further Education colleges, universities and businesses to support the region by providing employers with the skills they need now and to succeed in an ever-changing business and economic environment.
