This qualification has been designed to help you explore a range of essential skills to Improve your ICT skills, gain a qualification, the focus is on building and developing your skills and knowledge and to improve your confidence with the communally used computer packages used in industry.
you will use a word-processor to enter, edit and combine text and other information accurately. Structure information within word-processing documents. Use word-processing software tools to format and present documents.
You will Use IT systems and software you have covered efficiently to complete a planned task. You will use appropriate IT systems and software to meet requirements. Review the selection and use of IT tools to make sure that work activities are successful.
You must have some knowledge of using Microsoft Office.

You will be given guides to follow (videos are provided with the same information), each guide has a challenge for you to complete along with an example of the result. You have 4 weeks to complete.
Two exercises are provided that need to be returned for marking, a full practice assessment will be provided that need to be returned for marking and feedback will be given. You have up to 1 week to complete and return.
When you and your tutor agree you are ready you will be given a live assessment for the unit to complete, you have one week to complete and return. This needs to be returned for marking and feedback.
You may be required to complete an initial assessment and attend an induction session.
6 weeks have been given to complete this unit.
